Privacy policy

This page covers the LifeThread waitlist, run by Parallel 41 LLC. It is written to be read, not skimmed past. If anything is unclear, email hello@parallel41.ai.

What we collect

• Your email address (required).
• Your first name and which description fits you (both optional).
• When you consented and when you confirmed your email.
• How you found us: the link you arrived from, any campaign tags in the link (utm parameters), and the invite code if a family member sent you.
• Your own invite code and a count of how many people joined through it.

That is the whole list. We do not collect your family tree, your ancestors’ names, or anything from FamilySearch on this page.

Why

• To email you about LifeThread: progress, early access, launch. Nothing else.
• To learn which places we tell people about LifeThread actually reach them.
• To see how often families invite each other, which is the whole idea.

We will never sell your email, share it with advertisers, or add you to any other list.

Where it lives

The page is served by Vercel. Your details are stored in a database on Amazon Web Services in the western United States. Confirmation emails are sent through Amazon’s email service.

The signup form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots; it may process your browser details under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We measure visits with Plausible, which uses no cookies and records no personal information.

How long

We keep your record while the waitlist is open. If you unsubscribe, we keep only enough to make sure we don’t email you again. When the waitlist closes, we delete it, except that people who choose to join LifeThread will carry their email into their account.

Leaving, and deleting everything

Every email has an unsubscribe link that works with one click. To have your details deleted entirely, email hello@parallel41.ai from the address you signed up with, and we will delete the record within a few days and confirm by reply.

Children

The waitlist is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep their details. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will remove them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version goes here with a new date at the top. If a change affects how we use what we already have, we will email you first.
